Shushant Singh rajput suicide case
“Shocked & deeply saddened to hear about the suicide of talented & brilliant actor Sushant Singh Rajput. This unfortunate death of a young & successful individual brings issues related to mental health, particularly in these times, to the fore. RIP,” Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said.
"It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work as they have done so far. We request media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief," Rajput's publicist said in a statement.
"He stays in a duplex flat and there were four people - two assistants and two servants - were present at his house when he committed suicide. Police have found medical papers, medicines reportedly that the actor took to treat alleged depression," the sources said.
People – fans and the Bollywood industry folks are missing the point. Did SSR not say that Nepotism can co-exist? He was fine with it. The issue at hand is that there are cliques of industry people who use their influence and power to ousted a talented actor JUST BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T LIKE HIM. SSR had clearly proven himself to be a fine actor -just with his handful of films. The question is why wasn’t he getting better roles, bigger films? The answer was also given by SSR and it is pathetically and abundantly clear that the likes of Salman Khan, Karan Johar, some actors (Alia, Sonam, SRK, Shahid Kapoor) etc are petty, immature and vengeful poor excuse of human beings. It was the poor SSR who got on the wrong side of these super people of Bollywood. The mere fact that 7 films were offered and then taken away from SSR in itself tells the whole story. Other actors have to work with these people, hence no one at that time came forward or stand up for him. Everyone was like “ let’s mind our business because this isn’t new – the only thing new is the actor”. Well, now everyone is standing up , saying their 2 cents’ worth (which is worth nothing really). Obviously, talent isn’t what was being promoted here as it should be. Revenge, jealousy and hate was and I’ll bet still will be. Fans all over the world mourn this huge loss- imagine an actor with so few films but had such a stronghold of fans who are signing petitions, who comment on social media at the injustice of it all.
"Research data says that in UK and Europe, depression accounts for about 80% of suicides. But data from places like India show that there are many other reasons that someone will take their own life," he said, adding that the demography for suicide in the country was also very different.
